TERMS

Terms of Use

Effective October 24, 2026

These terms govern your use of Confirmd. By using the service, you agree to use it responsibly and only for lawful purposes.

What Confirmd does

Confirmd lets a sender create and send confirmation requests for acknowledgments, approvals, receipts, agreements, and service completion. A recipient receives a link, reviews the statement, and responds. Recipients can confirm without creating an account.

Accounts and recipient links

Senders authenticate through email-based accounts. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email account associated with your Confirmd account. Confirmation links allow recipients to access the relevant confirmation information without signing in, so treat each link as sensitive and send it only to the intended recipient.

Confirmations, signatures, and records

When requested, recipients can provide a typed electronic signature. Confirmd records confirmation details such as names, responses, timestamps, and record identifiers, and completed records can be downloaded as PDFs. Confirmd does not independently verify the identity of any sender or recipient, does not notarize documents, and does not guarantee that a record is legally enforceable or legally certified. Whether a confirmation creates or proves a legal obligation depends on the circumstances and applicable law.

Not legal advice

Confirmd is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. A Confirmd record may be useful evidence of an acknowledgment, approval, receipt, agreement, or completion, but you are responsible for deciding whether it meets the requirements of your situation.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the statements, recipient information, and files you submit. You must have the right to send the information you provide and must not use Confirmd to harass, deceive, impersonate, threaten, or send unlawful or harmful material.

Attachments

Attachments are optional. Do not upload malicious files, content you do not have permission to share, or information that is unnecessary for the confirmation.

Deletion and retention

A sender can delete a pending confirmation, which makes its recipient link unavailable. Once a confirmation is completed, the record is protected from deletion through ordinary account controls. This protection is a product safeguard, not a guarantee of permanent or immutable storage, and records may be affected by technical failures, provider outages, or future changes to the service.

Service providers and availability

Confirmd relies on third-party services for hosting, authentication, database storage, file storage, and transactional email delivery. We work to keep Confirmd available and reliable, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the service evolves.

Fees

Confirmd currently offers its core functionality for free. If paid features are introduced in the future, the applicable terms will be made available before you are charged.

Limitation

To the extent permitted by law, Confirmd is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. You remain responsible for deciding whether Confirmd is appropriate for your particular use.

Changes

We may update these terms as Confirmd changes. Continued use after updated terms become effective means the updated terms apply to future use.
