Privacy Policy

Confirmd is built to help people create, send, and keep simple confirmation records. This policy explains the information Confirmd uses to provide that service.

Information we process

When you use Confirmd, we may process the sender's email address and account information, the recipient's name and email address, the confirmation statement and response type, timestamps, record identifiers, a recipient's typed signature when one is requested, and any files you choose to attach. Recipients can review and respond to a confirmation without creating an account.

How we use information

We use this information to create and deliver confirmation requests, authenticate senders through their email accounts, provide confirmation links to recipients, show senders their confirmation history, generate completed records and downloadable PDFs, send service-related transactional emails, maintain and secure the service, and prevent misuse.

Confirmation links

Each confirmation has a link that lets the recipient access the relevant confirmation information without signing in. Anyone who has the link may be able to view that information, so senders should share links only with the intended recipient and recipients should keep them private.

Retention and deletion

We keep confirmation records while they are needed to provide the service, subject to technical and legal requirements. We do not currently set a fixed deletion date or guarantee permanent storage. A sender can delete a pending confirmation through their account, making its recipient link unavailable. Once completed, a confirmation is protected from deletion through ordinary account controls to help preserve the record. This protection does not make records immutable. Copies may remain temporarily in backups or provider systems.

Requests about your information

If you need access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information in a completed record, you can request a review through the Confirmd account or support options available at that time. We will assess requests in light of applicable law, recordkeeping needs, and the rights of other participants. We cannot promise that every completed record can be deleted on request. Service providers

Confirmd relies on third-party service providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, file storage, and transactional email delivery. Those providers process information only as needed to operate Confirmd.

We do not sell your information

Confirmd does not sell personal information. We do not use the contents of your confirmation statements, recipient details, or attachments for advertising.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so avoid including information that is unnecessary for the confirmation you are creating.

Your choices

Confirmd's core functionality is currently free. You can choose not to attach a file, request deletion of pending confirmations, and stop using Confirmd at any time. If you need help with information associated with your account, use the contact method provided by Confirmd.

Changes

We may update this policy as Confirmd changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
